Our academically accredited courses run at different times throughout the year. Individual units can be studied to match the needs of organisations and particular staff roles.
Orientation & Mobility: Theory & Practice
This course has been created using our experience of orientation & mobility coupled with expertise in developing and delivering academic programmes. It embraces online course delivery and face-to-face teaching and learning methods. It is designed specifically to meet the needs of learners, the organisations in which they work and most importantly, people with a sight loss.
Through a series of linked units, learners develop knowledge and skills and the important aspect of teaching these in a structured and effective way.
This qualification offers cost effective, academically accredited training through practical learning experiences and 24/7 access to course materials.
The Eye: Anatomy & Impairment
This course is suitable for anyone working with people who have a sight loss – typically this will be in a Social Care, Health or voluntary organisation. The course is a blended programme delivered online with face-to-face session(s).
Learners gain a practical knowledge of the anatomy and function of the eye, explore common eye conditions, the clinical measurement of vision and its association with sight loss.
