A brief history and where we are now.
At Provision Solutions, we believe that high-quality professional development is essential to continually improving services for people living with sight loss. Our education and training programmes are designed to support and develop qualified Rehabilitation Specialists, alongside Health and Social Care professionals working across both statutory and voluntary sectors.
Since 2006, we have been committed to addressing skills gaps within the profession. Our first 12-month modular training programme was created to help tackle the shortage of Rehabilitation Specialists. In 2009, we expanded our offer with a specialist Orientation & Mobility course, enabling learners to deliver innovative, creative and person-centred mobility training.
Innovation and accessibility have always been central to our approach. In 2014, we launched a free online ‘Introduction to Rehabilitation’ course using our learning management technology. This opened opportunities for organisations and individuals around the world to develop their knowledge and understanding – particularly in countries where rehabilitation services do not exist or are still emerging.
In 2018, we redesigned our programmes into flexible modules, making learning more accessible while embracing advances in technology to create engaging and modern learning experiences. Alongside our core training programmes, we can develop bespoke courses tailored to the operational needs of individual organisations and agencies.
Over the years, we have successfully partnered with organisations across the UK, Europe and Asia to design and deliver innovative training programmes across borders using a variety of learning platforms and media.
We continue to evolve alongside the sector. Today, Provision Solutions remains a creative and forward-thinking organisation, driven by collaboration, innovation and problem solving. We are proud of what we have achieved and excited about the opportunities ahead.
